Vote no on measure F!
In 2018, Lake Forest voters approved stricter term limits with 82.5% of the vote. Those rules limit City Council members to two four-year terms.
Measure F would change that system.
Under Measure F, a councilmember could serve two terms, step away for four years, and then become eligible to run for City Council again. This creates a never ending cycle of career politicians.
Measure F weakens the limit voters already approved by replacing an overall cap on service with a temporary break.

WHY VOTE NO ON MEASURE F?
1.
It ELIMINATES TERM limits.
The current rules set a two-term limit. Measure F eliminates that overall cap and only adds a break between terms.
2.
it allows former members to return.
Under Measure F, former council members could seek office again after a four years out of office.
Measure F weakens the term limits Lake Forest voters approved in 2018. Instead of two terms serving as an overall limit, Measure F would allow a councilmember to serve two terms, sit out for four years, and become eligible to run again. This changes a firm limit into a temporary break and could allow the same individuals to return to City Council repeatedly over time.
3.
it could create repeated cycles
of service.
Because eligibility can return after the break, the same individuals can serve again and again, creating a cycle of career politicians.
